So I have been pretty much chained to my desk as I'm working like mad on the Lifetime movie of my book. I haven't been out and about that much and I haven't really been thinking about too much else. OK PINTEREST. But it stops there. It's now six- twenty and the Oscar red carpet starts in forty minutes. We have to get comfy decide between Thai and pizza and figure out which room to watch it in. BTW so thrilled Billy Crystal is back. All I want to see. But then I remembered it was Sunday night and I need a Monday blog.
THIS AND THAT
So I have been pretty much chained to my desk as I’m working like mad on the Lifetime movie of my book. I haven’t been out and about that much and I haven’t really been thinking about too much else. OK PINTEREST. But it stops there. It’s now six- twenty and the Oscar red carpet starts in forty minutes. We have to get comfy decide between Thai and pizza and figure out which room to watch it in. BTW so thrilled Billy Crystal is back.
But then I remembered it was Sunday night and I need a Monday blog. Quick let’s get creative. Upload the photos from the tiny camera the only one I have used this week and get blogging. Lucy turned twelve – this happened over a week ago, but she does not like me mentioning it. She’s at that age where I’m somewhat of an embarrassment. But I hate to let my girls birthday go by without telling them publicly how much I cherish them and wish them the BEST OF EVERYTHING IN ALL WAYS FOREVER.

Now I know this may not be a big deal to many people but there is a new Sephora in the Village. A Sephora is a Sephora right? Wrong. This is the best one I have ever seen and I have seen a lot of them. The girls and I went down last Sunday. It’s Disneyland for make-up lovers. It’s huge. It’s modern. No cash registers, like the Apple Store they use an iPhone . Forget diamonds a lash bar is a girl’s best friend.

On Tuesday my book came out in paperback. Click here to get your copy.

You don’t go on TV or do much when a paperback comes out, though I have some things planned for next month. But I had a lovely day. I celebrated by not working. I had lunch with my friend David Patrick Columbia at Michaels which is always a treat. And he was off the next day to shoot an episode of Gossip Girl, playing himself. He took this very much in his stride. I was beyond impressed and knew Lucy would be beyond the moon when she heard. And then as we were leaving and I told all the nice ladies who work there what he was doing they were all a twitter. Nothing delights a girl like knowing one of their friends is on Gossip Girl. Here is his account of his day on the set.

Since I wasn’t working I popped into Bendels. All that talk of Gossip Girl made me want to pretend to be one. And I discovered a wonderful new line of jewelry called AUDEN. It is designed by Bryce Castaneda. You can check it out here. I think Bryce is going places.

That evening we had dinner with Martha Stewart at Cafe Boloud. It as a great day all play and no work. Martha was on cloud nine as her Chow Chow has won best of breed at Westminster.

Wednesday was back to work. But Thursday evening we went to an advance viewing of a show that author and historian William Dalrymple has curated at The Asia Society, Princes and Painters in Mughal India 1707- 1857.

Last night we watched three hours of Game of Thrones. I think if I hadn’t turned off the TV Glenn would still be watching. We’re hooked.

I just made it….Red Carpet started. Pizza it is!
