MEXICO CITY – FIVE HOURS
I know it seems like we go away a lot. And maybe we do. But I somehow managed to turn in the manuscript for my next book between Boca and this.
So, I’m racing here. Glenn has business in Mexico City. I have never been here; Always wanted to see it. OK. Not always but the last five years when everyone started talking about how cool it is.
So we got here today at three. We have dinner in an hour. I will have a margarita at dinner. That means I will be in no shape to blog when I get home.
We have a great driver. He picked us up at the airport. After we unpacked he came back and gave us the McTour. So imagine you are in the car with us. We are racing around. He would tell me what things are. I remember fragments. I could look it all up if I had time. But I don’t. So you have to go with the photos and my really feeble memory. It was fast. It was furious. It was fabulous. This place is on the move. Third biggest city in the world. It reminds me of India, less poverty, I swear. It is quite clean and a different vibe. It’s Latin America and India – is India. But masses of human life in constant motion. Nothing I love more.
I promise to be better the rest of the trip, but if I don’t get this up now, I won’t post it at all today.
Viva la Mexico!
