I’m not in the habit of rerunning blogs or articles but I have been both involved in and heard several conversations lately that make me think it might be a good time to bring out this old war horse for another lap.

A lot of my life and friends exist in the gym I go to every day.

A few weeks ago a mom came up to me and said aren’t you the woman who wrote the piece on spring break for the Huffington Post. I told her I was. She then went on to tell me that The Dalton School here in NY actually used the article along with some other material to try and help parents navigate the oh-so-slippery slope of seniors and the absurd spring break trip to the islands.

It made me feel good, as one often thinks one writes these things in vain, and not always knowing the affect, if any they have on people I was thrilled. If only two kids end up not going because of the article that’s OK by me.

But this morning I was talking with a friend at the gym who was talking with one of her friends at the gym and the topic was spring breaks and what to do?
So I will stop here as the article speaks for  itself.  But when in doubt – JUST SAY NO.
